Please join us to celebrate the birthday of Cesar Chávez and to recognize the work of Isela Palma, and Sister Patricia Pora, recipients of this year’s Si Se Puede! Cesar Chavez/Dolores Huerta Awards. Come and show your appreciation to the awardees for their commitment to social and economic justice, and promoting cultural tradition.

Cesar Chávez was a Chicano organizer of farm workers and along with Dolores Huerta, created the United Migrant Farm Workers Union. They brought attention and recognition to the importance and dignity of farm workers and their harvest.

Cesar Chávez’ work with human rights and non-violent action was known as La Causa (The Cause) and received international support from civil rights groups, worker’s unions, religious groups and students.
