This coming Tuesday the Portland Infoshop is hosting a public discussion of recent events in the Georgia region. We will begin at 6:30PM at the Meg Perry Center at 644 Congress, Portland.
Everyone is welcome to come, listen and speak.
Guest speakers are wanted, or anyone with a well informed opinion. Give me a call and I can set aside some minutes at the beginning for you to speak.
This event has three goals: First, to establish a level of understanding of the situation amongst the attendants/public. Second, to gather, test, and synthesize opinions and facts from the Portland public. And third, contingent on the success of the first two, to compose, as a group, a written statement expressing our analysis and opinions of the situation. Such a statement might be sent to a variety of media or political institutions.
Come, learn, teach and be heard.
Invite your friends.
I look foward to meeting you- -Mako Bates.
