SAVE THE DATE!! January 5-6, 2008 (Saturday and Sunday)

An open planning committee (join us!) is setting up a weekend gathering to plan coordinated actions in Maine around the fifth anniversary of the US invasion and occupation of Iraq in mid-March. . Location of the gathering is at the Meg Perry Center at 644 Congress in Portland (overnight housing is available).

We hope to find actions that can be carried out locally, regionally, and/or statewide. All ideas are on the table—from large rallies to Occupation Project type actions to small groups in specific areas to highlighting weapons manufacturers.

Because the anniversary will be only 2+ months after the weekend, quick action will be needed coming out of that gathering.
