Help the Peace and Justice Group plan events for this winter and spring. Please join us:

Peace and Justice Group of Waldo County meeting is on Tuesday, January 8 at 6:30 PM at the Unitarian-Universalist Church, 37 Miller St. (behind the Library) in Belfast. Please join us! All are welcome at our meetings. If you can’t make it to a meeting you can still participate. We encourage you to initiate projects and bring them to our attention for discussion. We may be able to help you to work on these and/or co-sponsor them.

Some agenda items for the meeting (add to this list before or at the meeting):

  1. Winter Community Forum programs—WE NEED PEOPLE WHO WANT TO ORGANIZE FORUM PROGRAMS FOR UPCOMING MONTHS—distribute flyers for January film on cluster bombs with Mary Trotochaud
  2. Iraq and US occupation update—Report on January 5-6 strategic planning and what we could do in March or April
  3. Other winter and spring programs (try a Jim Harney program again?)
  4. Outreach for new people—more potlucks, flyering, what else should we do?
  5. Other issues, like Plum Creek, community store, etc.
  6. Other agenda items to be added
