THE MEG PERRY CENTER FOR PEACE, JUSTICE AND COMMUNITY

The Meg Perry Center is the home of Peace Action Maine, the Maine Peace Fund and the Foglight Collective. It is located at 644 Congress in Portland, Maine.

The Meg Perry Center is dedicated to educational exchange and social action, so that individuals and our community may be empowered to work for peace and justice. The Center seeks to honor the memory of Portland organizer Meg Perry, who died in a bus accident in December of 2005 while she was working in the Gulf Coast as part of the relief effort following Hurricane Katrina.

The Meg Perry Center is open seven days a week and contains a bookstore, fair trade items for sale, a lending library, free internet/computers, and organizing resources. The MPC is a multi use space with monthly art exhibits, Thursday night film showings at 7:30 PM, speakers, shows, benefits, trainings, organizational meetings, work parties and concerts.
