Speakers Bureau to Address Risks of Nuclear Weapons
"The Maine Council of Churches, Physicians for Social Responsibility/Maine,
and Peace Action Maine have created a Speakers Bureau to present information
to churches and civic groups throughout the state regarding the risks of
current nuclear weapons research and potential use and what can be done to
reduce these dangers. With the recent vote in Congress authorizing funds for
research into new types of nuclear weapons, this presentation has become
more vital than ever. It will last roughly 30 minutes, followed by a Q & A
session."
