Welcome Greg Field, Our New Director
Greg Field comes to Peace Action Maine from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he
taught American history at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. While in
Michigan, Greg was involved in both program and administrative matters with
several progressive, community-based organizations.
Greg's commitment to social activism stretches back to his involvement as a
teenager in the Clamshell Alliance's struggle at the Seabrook NH nuclear
power site. Since that time, he has been active in numerous venues,
including the Citizens' Party/Barry Commoner presidential campaign in 1980;
Massachusetts Fair Share, a citizens' action group; and Peace Activists-East
and West, a grass-roots effort to link independent peace activists in the
U.S. with their counterparts in Eastern Europe and Russia.
He is excited to begin his work here at Peace Action Maine, and looks
forward to helping the organization thrive.
