Come to Chicago for the National Congress
You are cordially invited to the 15th annual Peace Action National Congress,
to be held at the John Marshall Law School in downtown Chicago on July 27
and 28, with housing at the Chicago Hostel. Peace Action guests have a
special rate of $28.50 per night.
Come a day ahead for the third annual Women's Retreat (a wonderful day of
building women's leadership and sense of community) and a major protest at
the Boeing headquarters in Chicago.
The Congress proper begins on Saturday morning and runs through Sunday
mid-afternoon. Choosing program priorities for the year, hearing from
experts on our issues in plenary sessions, and sharing skills in workshops
are at the center of the Congress. It's a great way to feel part of the
organization and the movement for justice, not war!
Amber Amundsen and Dennis Kucinich will be keynote speakers. It would be
wonderful to have a group of Peace Action Maine members represented! Please
