I hope you will be able to join us this Saturday, May 9th at O’Naturals, 83 Exchange Street, Portland. The Maine Council of Churches will be there from 3:30 to 8:00 with a variety of activities:

• a plant and “$10 and under” sale, beginning at 4:00

• a Climate Change presentation, “Building Ark Communities for Troubled Times” by our Environmental Justice consultant, Andy Burt. Andy will present in the downstairs conference room from 4 - 5 and again from 6 - 7. There is no charge to attend.

• a Silent Auction will take place from 4:30 - 6:30.

Art work, trips, gift certificates, etc. have been donated by friends and local businesses.

• MCC will have a display table highlighting our issues and projects, with a staff or board member available to talk with anyone who is interested in learning more about us.

• While you’re eating or perusing the auction, send the kids to the back of the restaurant. A children’s table will be stocked with art supplies. A face painter will be on hand from 4 - 6. We invite the little ones to pull up a chair and make a card for Mothers’ Day! No charge to participate in the children’s activities.

O’Naturals is generously donating 10% of the proceeds of food purchases to MCC during this event.
