This Wednesday, we will meet again to plan the big Day of Action on October 28th: a news conference, and generating 100 phone calls into Senator Snowe’s office. In order to make this happen, we’ve got a lot of work to do (coordinating speakers, pitching the media, making posters and costumes, and much more). Please join us and find out how you can help make this event successful: Day of Action Planning Meeting Wednesday, October 7th, 7pm Bard Coffee (Middle St at Exchange St)
Action of the Week: Write a hand-written letter to Senator Snowe.
Elected officials take hand-written letters very seriously. Please tell her why you care about Maine’s fishermen and our oceans and ask her to call for Congressional oversight hearings on fisheries management. Her staff will read each and every letter! If you cannot come on Wednesday, can you take 5 minutes to handwrite a short letter and ask your friends to do the same?
Please stamp and send your letter to: Senator Olympia Snowe 3 Canal Plaza, Suite 601 Portland, ME 04101
