Amnesty International USA is touring an exact replica of a Guantanamo Bay prison cell, in support of AIUSA’s “Denounce Torture” Campaign. The 1,650-pound cell is stopping in Portland and will be on display at Monument Square June 5-7.

For the Maine bus joining the Pastors for Peace Friendshipment Caravan in McAllen, Texas. From there trucks & buses filled with humanitarian supplies head for Cuba by way of Tampico, Mexico. They go in spite of U.S. rules on the Cuban embargo.

FEATURING PRIMO CUBANO: Maine’s own Cuban son and salsa band will be on hand for dancing. Enjoy Cuban food and refreshments. It’s all happening at the beautiful historical “Paris Hill Academy,?” Paris Hill, Maine.

Kim Keyser is an activist from the nascent anarchist movement in Norway - the so-called “social democratic paradise” in Northern Europe. This summer he’ll be touring the US with an illustrated presentation called “The Prefigurative Organization”. The presentation will try to answer the question “How can we reflect the future we want, in our present work?”. It will touch upon subjects such as direct democracy, direct action, workers councils, anarchist organizing and involvement in social movements.

A July 4th picnic with speakers at Laurie Dobson’s farm (which was Camp Alex last August), 78 Old Cape Rd. in Kennebunkport, Maine. Please arrive before noon on Friday and bring your own food plus food to share. Overnight camping is available at the farm on Friday and Saturday nights - bring firewood for campfires if you plan to camp.
