Farewell to Scott and Welcome to Our New Acting Director

After two years as Executive Director of Peace Action Maine, Scott Miller is leaving to pursue new paths. We are grateful for his energy and commitment to creating a just and peaceful world and for his great command of our issues. He has been an articulate spokesman for us. During his tenure our membership increased to the highest levels in our history and broadly expanded our base of volunteers. We wish him well as he starts on new endeavors.

We are pleased to welcome Pamela Chalfant as our Acting Director. Pamela led the very successful phone campaign at Maine People's Alliance and has worked with us on short-term projects over the last few years. She will lead our new and already successful phone campaign as well as serving as Acting Executive Director. Working with her is our energetic, knowledgeable, and talented board. All of us have a clear commitment to building the movement for justice and non-violence, and we are all eager to take on the work before us. This will be a period of growth and strong organizational development for Peace Action Maine.
