March 6, 2008—Salud!
Directed by Connie Field
Released a few months ago, the film looks at health care Cuban style, especially the heroic story of Cuban health workers abroad—30,000 physicians in almost 70 countries. It’s a beautifully made film that reports also on Cuba’s achievement in providing medical education for tens of thousands of young people throughout the world in their own countries and in Cuba. The real subject is global health care and meeting human needs.
