The Flatbread Company, The NAACP Portland Chapter, The Center for African Heritage, The Foglight Collective, and Peace Action Maine are proud to present Glenn Jones, Arborea, and Prisma in concert at The Meg Perry Center, 644 Congress Street in Portland, Maine on January 19, 2008 from 8:00 to 11:00 PM. This is an all ages event. Donations are $5-10 to benefit humanitarian aid efforts in the Darfur region of Sudan through Africare.
Glenn Jones is an internationally recognized Takoma-school finger-picking guitarist. A veteran of Terrastock 6 and The Time of Rivers Festival, Glenn will be featuring selections from his latest CD release, “Against Which the Sea Continually Beats.”
Arborea is the folk duo of Buck and Shanti Curran. They have recently performed in Europe in support of their first CD, “Wayfaring Summer.” Arborea are also veterans of the Time of Rivers Festival.
Time-Lag recording artists Prisma feature members of Visitations and MV EE and The Golden Road. Their much-anticipated first CD is due out soon.
